Welcome!
For all of my family and friends, I will be updating my blog on a regular basis (hopefully) both to keep everyone updated on how my semester is going and what I'm up to as well as to document my trip for myself to look back on in the future. I know everyone will be very interested in what I'm up to, so I figure this is the best way to keep everyone updated without flooding everyone with a million emails. I hope that you will all enjoy following me on my journey to the motherland and maybe I can teach you all a bit of Italian!! :)
Well, the countdown has finally begun. I will be leaving the U.S. in 13 days and will be on my way to Florence, Italy (Firenze, Italia). Up until this point I don't think that the reality of my trip had set in yet. I'm not sure if it really has even now. The only thing that HAS set in, is that time is running out to get everything done and packed!
I finally received some information about my homestay the other day. I was sent the address of where I will be living, but no information about who I will be living with yet. My sister, Emily, thought it was funny that Google pinned my email to a garbage bin. :/ I didn't think it was that funny, but I do feel a little better having an exact address now, and the street looks very nice and the buildings are pretty as well! I'm not sure if I will receive more information on the family before I leave or not, so I'll have to wait and see.
