Solo le Donne. Only the women.

Ciao Tutti!!
Well today was quite the productive and fun day! I had my consumerism class this morning, worked on homework during my break (I actually did get stuff done today) and then had my Italian class this afternoon.
During my lunch break I went to the tabacchi in the piazza and bought a coke. Unfortunately as my coke was dropping down from its row it got stuck between a shelf and the glass. I couldn't believe it! I thought about going to get a few more coins to get another one, when I noticed that the machine still said that I had a 1.50 credit. I thought I might be able to get my money back, when all of a sudden another coke dispensed!! I love Italian vending machines!! It must have some kind of sensor that made it realize that my coke didn't drop so it gave me a different one!! No hitting the vending machine needed! :)

My panino from today. I got a different bread today which was SO good! It was so soft and fresh with just the very tiniest bit of crunch. It was wonderful. Also, I finally decided to switch up my cheese and today I got fresh mozzarella! Fresh mozzarella really is the way to go!

While I was at school today I turned around the corner near the front entrance and got bombarded by my dog Megan!! My mother and Megan had come into school to see the housing coordinator, who is also a very good friend of my mother. (No I wasn't in trouble.) Everyone just loved Megan! While she was there she told me that my brother Tommaso would be going to my brother Andrea's basketball game tonight, and that I could go with if I wanted. However, because the basketball game was far away they were leaving at 5, and my class doesn't end until 5:30. So it was only the women at home tonight! My mother made us each a pizza. We both had cheese, but hers was gorgonzola (which I don't like) and mine was mozzarella. It was very good and I ate the whole thing!

Before we had dinner though we went off to get gelato!! I was so excited! Don't worry, we did not eat the gelato before dinner, we brought it home and kept it in the fridge until after we ate. We went to my mother's favorite gelato place in the entire city. The first flavor I got was bacio, (which tastes like baci, the Italian version of a hershey's kiss- it basically is chocolate and hazelnut, but a lot better than ferrero rocher). The second was tartufo, (which was truffle- basically dark chocolate- with coffee). The third was pistacchio (pronounced pee-sta-key-o, this was really good and interesting because it had all the flavor but not the saltiness). I was very happy with my selections.

Afterwards, Megan helped us clean up! She licked both mine and my mother's cups clean! She sat waiting patiently, watching every bite we took, until we were done and it was her turn. Even dogs love gelato!! I'm not joking when I say the cup looked brand new. She cleaned them up extremely well, inside and out! She's so cute!!
Haha, well that is all for today.
Buona giornata!
